Hey guys— I did a VFX test film this weekend to see if some of the things in my short story were possible for me to do.  Fullscreen it, HD it!

I'm currently workshopping my story 'Luster' in the Character DNA class and then I plan on submitting it to the main LitReactor workshop.  Then I'll adapt it to a screenplay and hopefully get to shoot it.

Wow! That was intense. Can I ask, did you do the VFX? They're very good! I have a thing for effects, y'see. I animate them. (well, cartoony ones... in Flash.)  This would make a pretty cool book teaser, too.

I put it all together, but I licensed the actual effects, such as massive explosions.  Yeah, I'm wondering if I might be able to put together (on commission) book trailers in the industry and promos for screenplays over at Amazon Studios and elsewhere...

Wow, this is badass!!! I'm hoping to start film school soon for cinematography and this kinda stuff gets me excited! good job indeed!

Will do! I'm signed up for a three month workshop at the New York Film Academy but I'm a little short on funds so I'll be sitting this one out. Now, I'm just shopping around for some schools or any kind of apprentice positions to gain some experience.
And I think I'm gonna check out that book you're reading. Sounds helpful
