@Jonathan They didn't have the Choke shirts in our sizes, so the Rant shirts were thrust upon Jane and me. I really like both, though I was excited for a blue Choke shirt as ALL MY T-SHIRTS ARE BLACK.

Sound--I think most King collectors need a 1st of Carrie. Last I looked they were going for between $5k-7k. I don't know if I'll ever have enough money to feel comfortable throwing that kind of cash down for a book. My 1st of The Stand was a yard sale find. It's a bit beat up, but can't beat spending 50 cents on something people sell for a couple hundred bucks.

The thing about the original DT1 is that the people who have them don't want to let them go. I would say it is the same with Carrie, except you add the poor binding quality with it being his debut novel and that price jacks up even higher.

Hank's such a good guy. My husband was super excited to meet him after being a fan for almost 20 years, and then he had to be all cool and tough-guy when he did. And Hank seems to attract awkward—the crowd waiting for him could easily have been a socially awkward support group (save for the out-of-place aging SoA superfan couple).

I've not yet seen SoA but it's on my list. And then these people ruined it for me with their spoiler-heavy talk.
Musically, I have always preferred Black Flag to Rollins Band. So yeah. His spoken words are the same as they've always been, which is fantastic. Though he will never top BUN-BUN.
I was disappointed he was not in shorts. I paid to see shorts.

i didn't mean you were aging...i just meant we're all a little older now compared to before...with regards to punk shows. But that's the thing that I DO know about MPLS. It's ok to be old as hell and still into punk. I love that.
I've never seen Henry Rollins do spoken word. I never saw Black Flag either, but Rollins Band certainly bored me a few times live.

Rollins on SoA was a big dissappointment to me. He played the role GREAT, but I wanted him to be in the show forever. Much love for Rollins. Him and Perlman just seemed like a great pair - good as enemies, but they would have been great as partners.
