Hi :) Just a thought - As you've pretty much got all the submissions you're going to need, maybe you should think about changing the blog entry you have about it? I say this because I worked on a piece to submit for this, thinking I had a shot at being accepted, and then I read this thread and it turns out I don't really have any chance now as you've already decided on all your pieces before the deadline. I'm not mentioning this cos I'm pissed off about it, just that it might be kinder to people who come across your blog in the next couple of days, thinking they have til the 15th, when it fact its pretty much too late now.

SurLeQuai has been working on her story for awhile so I reopened submissions to her. I have no problem reading subs until the 15th, I just didn't want to solicit anymore if people were deciding to write one at the last minute but if anyone has been working on one or was planning on submitting for awhile now, go ahead. I still am waiting on a few stories and there could be even more space that opens up but I am still open to shorter pieces. Final choice list will be posted on Feb. 16th. The most important thing I have to say if anyone is still thinking about submitting or has been working on something:
Yes, I want you to define the disorder. Vivid images and descriptions are great. Just don't forget the plot. There were a few stories where I was like, "Okay....we got the disorder and that's it." I mean we are writing a fiction book here and not a psychology manual so don't set up a story with a character, put antagonists and then have nothing happen. That's like saying, "The puppy is about to cross the street, oh look here comes a car, the puppy is walking towards the curb, the car is driving faster and faster and the driver isn't paying attention, the puppy puts his foot out into the crosswalk....then decides not to go into the street. THE END". It's very unsatisfying lol In other words, run over the damn puppy. lol Thanks.
