My brother moved to Portland last month. Says it's cool, says the work is crummy (though still better than here.) I told him to go to Powell's. I think he's been hitting up the comedy clubs mostly. Any other cool places I should tell him about, Portlandians?
I'll probably do Wordstock if I don't do Bloody Scotland around that time. Or just go out there whenever. We'll get fucking legless.

Sweet, the PDXXXsters are growing by magnitudes. You will love Randy and Bob and Rainbow flatulence in time. Leprechauns? Little Green Men? With roiling red lipstick?
Well, @Frost, I will be the guy next to Charles.
That Strayed reading sounds fun. Jesus, too much going on. And isn't it supposed to snow Sunday?

The MAX Red Line can take you directly from the PDX airport to downtown. My suggestion would be to book a hotel near the Red Line if you don't rent a car. Portland has awesome public transportation.

I have started looking at accommodations (VRBO) vs hotel and might be looking for a flatmate if I come unaccompanied, so if anyone on here is housebroken and in a similar boat, let me know. Sparrow Stark, I'm looking at you.
