My brother moved to Portland last month. Says it's cool, says the work is crummy (though still better than here.) I told him to go to Powell's. I think he's been hitting up the comedy clubs mostly. Any other cool places I should tell him about, Portlandians?

I'll probably do Wordstock if I don't do Bloody Scotland around that time. Or just go out there whenever. We'll get fucking legless.

Wordstock is the 11th and 12th, I believe. I will be there with Panda. Anyone else who wants to hang can. I will be staying in chesters house, he told me he will give me the master bedroom. Haha. I think he is planning the orgy at his place. I want nick, dakota, shep, moon there.

Hi Striped.

Sweet, the PDXXXsters are growing by magnitudes. You will love Randy and Bob and Rainbow flatulence in time. Leprechauns? Little Green Men? With roiling red lipstick?

Well, @Frost, I will be the guy next to Charles.

That Strayed reading sounds fun. Jesus, too much going on. And isn't it supposed to snow Sunday?

Everyone on the internet should go to the Lovecraft Bar next month on the 26th. I'm reading with Jeff Burk, Cameron Pierce, Bradley Sands, Kirsten Alenem and Patrick Wensink. It won't be boring like every other reading that you have ever attended.

The MAX Red Line can take you directly from the PDX airport to downtown. My suggestion would be to book a hotel near the Red Line if you don't rent a car. Portland has awesome public transportation.

Hey, I've applied for a job at the Red & Black café, weeks ago. It appears like a fine place and I had a relaxed email exchange with Rachel, who took me into account even with the possible implications of hiring someone of non US citizenship and related bureaucratic and logistic crap.

I could have been there!

Still hope to pile up some cash before October and Wordstock.

Back to Wordstock, I booked a flight and plan on driving down to PDX from Vancouver-ish. Hope to put faces to names! and drink! and write!

Also, now that I am finished 3 back to back to back intensives, I will become a bonified LitReactor member and will be joining you all in the Workshop; hide yo kids, hide yo wives. I'm just waiting for things to settle down a bit in my life. 2012 has been a real twat this far.

I almost trademarked this.

Andrea! Sweet. I was hoping you would make it. And I can't wait for you to put my name to my face.

Chester, let's put things to our faces all weekend!

I have started looking at accommodations (VRBO) vs hotel and might be looking for a flatmate if I come unaccompanied, so if anyone on here is housebroken and in a similar boat, let me know. Sparrow Stark, I'm looking at you.
