You ever been almost done with a work, and the plot took a left turn? Happened to me this morning, was wondering how others deal with it.

I try to go with it. Often, that happens to me when I've already written the ending. So when the plot takes a turn, knowing I have to rewrite the rest is hard. But I sort of say "humor me" to my ego and just write it with no investment.

It can be exciting when it happens, though.

Well it went from being a simple superhero story to a 'recovering superhero' trying to use his version of the 12 steps to not be a villain.
