October's poll for Plight of the Poet is up. The month's prompt was: Bullet. I first want to say thanks to everyone who submitted. We had a fantastic turnout for the first two weeks of the thread. Please keep them coming for next month’s competition. We will have twice as much time so expect the entries to double next month.
Unfortunately, in the spirit of competition, I couldn't pick them all. Congrats to those who made the poll and good luck next time to those who barely fell short.

Cool. I love the bullet haiku. The others are great but that one STILL makes me smile.
A word of advice though, Mr Riley, put the file up for polls in .doc rather than .docx as lots of folks will not have the most up-to-date copies of MS office, and might not be able to open the file. It's something we had an issue with a few times in the past with files hosted by the forum or the workshop.
O.K. So I originally set the poll for one week. That was on October 30. I'm not sure how to check the status on remaining time but it's like a day or two. If any of you contestants want to extend the poll another week to get some more people to read your poems I have no problem with that. I also have no problem begging in the forums for people to come check them out, Let me know. Also you can read Stacy's poem in Downer Magazine. Everything is cooler when it's in a magazine.
