My MASH game came out kind of funny because I couldn't think of 4 men I'm actually attracted to outside of the one I'm married to...

And checking back in on my goal... yeesh. I only got one story out but it got accepted, so yay for me! Also there is still almost a week left in Sept. so I still have time to get two more out!

Props to Gordon Highland for venturing off the beaten path and joining this madness!

Yes, props! It's always good to know that people are still alive, and better yet, getting it done. New shit has come to light, as The Dude might say, shit I ought to be privy to. It increases the chances of coneption. Lots of ins, lots of outs, strikes and gutters, tying the room together.

Please stop me.

Are you alive? You wouldn't think so, what with me never being here. But I'm alive, just way too busy with school.
Any September birthdays, anniversaries, etc.? Best friend's birthday. I don't get to celebrate it with her anymore, which makes me sad.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be? Ireland. Like Jason Donnelly is right now, that lucky bastard.
What book are you most looking forward to reading right now? Doctor Sleep! Not likely to buy it right off, but I may not be able to resist either.
How was your Labor Day? (or if you don't have that where you live...how was the weekend?) I actually don't have any memory of what I did for Labor Day. That kind of sucks. It wasn't drinking, so it's not like I forgot for fun reasons.
What question(s) do you wish I would ask? Is there anything you hide deep in your house with the intention of never, ever looking at it?
Tell me something you’re proud of. Just published one of my LR stories at Deimos.
If you won 50k, how would you spend it? On living. Hell, I could probably live for 5 or 6 years on $50k.
Tell me a time you embarrassed yourself in public. Once ran into a glass door at a friend's house. Didn't live that one down for a good while.
Set a goal for this month and tell me what it is.  Then check back into this thread to update us on how you are doing with your goal. Nice idea! Goal... finish the next draft of the novella so a certain someone who shall remain nameless can get a better look at it and hopefully fall in love with it.

Ah, yes... the update

By the end of September, I am going to have:

* Edited the hell out of my novelette and be ready to start on the exegesis - well, I finished the first draft, and now it's time to edit... and it needs a lot, I had it critiqued in class and I got slammed :-(

* Stuck to this Lite n' Easy (ie. home-delivered food, like a real life bachelorette) diet without throwing anything through a window - I haven't thrown anything through a window, but I have splurged a few times

* Learned the "don't go there" lesson without actually having gone there - alas, there's still time left, and this upcoming weekend has me vaguely concerned

Are you alive? Are you surprised?
Any September birthdays, anniversaries, etc.? No.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be? South Africa or Venice.
What book are you most looking forward to reading right now? The God Delusion.
How was your Labor Day? (or if you don't have that where you live...how was the weekend?) Eh...
What question(s) do you wish I would ask? Favorite way to murder a character.
Tell me something you’re proud of. Sober for five months.
If you won 50k, how would you spend it? Books.
Tell me a time you embarrassed yourself in public. At Disney world and they have little poles with horse heads on them. I tried to leap frog one and ripped my pants from stem to stern. It took me an hour to find my mother to get money for new pants.
Set a goal for this month and tell me what it is.  Then check back into this thread to update us on how you are doing with your goal. Nope, because I probably will not do it.

Are you alive? I don't feel tardy.
Any September birthdays, anniversaries, etc.? I've made it a year without my girlfriend realizing the mistake she's making. It's apparently every one of my friends birthdays this month too.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be? East coast somewhere.
What book are you most looking forward to reading right now? There are lots of them sitting on my bookshelf, I'd hate to single out just one.
How was your Labor Day? (or if you don't have that where you live...how was the weekend?) I don't know.
What question(s) do you wish I would ask? "Really? Really, Seth?"
Tell me something you’re proud of. I don't smoke anymore.
If you won 50k, how would you spend it? I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Tell me a time you embarrassed yourself in public. When I was in kindergarten, we were split into reading groups. Half the class would sit at their desks and do work, the other half would sit around a little table and read out loud. One day, I got up to go to the table, and 3/4 of the way there, I felt sick. I froze in place, not sure why I felt bad. Then I threw up right there on the carpet. The janitor had to come in and sprinkle that weird orange stuff on my bile pile. I felt fine so I didn't go home. Later that day, my friend's mom came in to talk to the teacher about something and ended up standing right in my puke. For some reason, THAT was the part that embarrassed me.
Set a goal for this month and tell me what it is.  Then check back into this thread to update us on how you are doing with your goal. I hope to drink some beer and read.

UPDATE: (because I know you were all chewing your nails down to the quick wondering how I was making out with my goal) I JUST finished transcribing a 75 minute interview I'd done back in August so now I can begin to extract parts to include in a piece I'm writing about music, vagrant teenagers, and youth care workers.
