Stray Bullets is my favorite graphic novel, as well as my favorite crime work. As far as manga goes, back when work was slow, i used to read them online all day. I've read many a series:

Blade of the Immortal

Chobits

FLCL

Death Note

Blame! (probably my favorite)

C.A.T. (I think this one was Korean but it counts)

That's hundreds of issues, all of them read at work...

@Typewriter Little Butterfly! Ah! One of the prettiest mangas I've ever read. I even have it autographed! I love Hinako Takanaga's work to pieces... I own everything that has come stateside by her. Keep an eye out for Awkward Silence--it's by the same manga-ka, and it's my favorite BL of all time. Of. All. Time.

Aside from Awkward Silence, my favorite graphic novels are Same Cell Organism and The Day I Became a Butterfly, both by Sumomo Yumeka. The way she tells the stories in each collection is magical... You don't realize it, but half the story you come to believe is taking place is actually written by you. We all have different interpretations. I love her art style, as well.

I also have a thing for Earthian and for Loveless, both by Yun Kouga. I like Loveless for the battle system -- words have power? neat! And I like Earthian for... some reason... I don't really remember what that reason is. I just like it.

There is a graphic novel that came out recently, and I haven't gotten past the first issue yet, but it's called Princeless and it has a fun twist on your run-of-the-mill fairytale genre that I found to be worth the read.

And should I even mention my love of Akira? Who could not love that series?

The Adventure Time comics are hilarious. But only if you love Adventure Time.

Oh, and I love the Avatar: The Last Airbender comics! Strong poses, beautiful color choices, and laugh-out-loud nonsense. Oh, Avatar.
