Thank you to everyone who participated in December and January. I really enjoyed reading every one of your posts and it's always extremely difficult to choose only five for the poll. But any more would just hamper the voter turnout as well as the manageagility of my cerebra and I would have to do twice as much pru to get this poll on line.

Oh, and if you are just joining us and are curious and want to participate in Flash Me! please do. You can go here:

Flash Me!

As usual there are a number of stories that are exceptional but surpass the word count and therefore don't qualify (500 if you are just joining us). That does not mean they won't qualify for an anthology down the road (Shhh, quiet). There are also stories that just need a bit more attention from their authors and they'd shine and oil many a literary loin.

However, my intention with starting this thread in the first place was to encourage all of us to think small. Yep, you heard me right: Think small. Writing happens only in small achievements. It's the small things stacked in organized piles that make great stories. And if we are incapable of putting together small pictures, then good luck composing bigger ones. In other words this is a place to throw sketches down and feel that burst of accomplishment--to see small pictures take shape. And who knows, maybe those small pictures lead to bigger ones. Or maybe like a last penny thrown into the wishing well, they are perfect the way they are--as wishes.

That little seed, that literary spark might just be the yarn you were wishing for.

Anyway,

Go fuck yourselves unless you have someone to fuck. Then please fuck them. And get creative. Don't just stick to the ecclesiastical rules. Use your tongues. Everyone likes a nice tongue. Tongues in holes and the occasional fingers for godsakes. Just make sure I have outfitted your bedroom or that Karaoke bar bathroom stall with one of my hidden cameras.

Nice one!

Well, your present for picking me for the vote again is over in the Flash Me! thread. A little gift for keeping the thread alive. One of the best threads on the forum there buddy.

I'm not sure who to vote for this time yet. Hmmm.

Hello Chester - can I ask you something?

It's maybe been asked before but what happens if it's a draw in terms of voting?

Then I will have a 'guest author' decide. Someone famous.

I voted Mikeylikesit. It was a tough call between that one and Utah's.

This is the tightest race yet. I thought it might be because I had a hard time even getting to the five there were so many good ones. Your cat one was in there too, but I like to have at least one micro piece every time because I think those are the most challenging to achieve.

This runs a week, so it should be interesting.

Still a very tight race.

When you set up a poll like this, does it have it own timer, or do you have to monitor it and shut it down when you decide it's done?

When you click into 'create a poll' there are a handful of choices for duration.

I can't believe I actually made it into the final five, thanks a lot :). So many great pieces here, I had a hard time choosing!

Hi girl,

Great story.

Well you just tightened the race even more! This is a good one. Yeah, I really like Closure's story.

MeatSeeker, you're back from Narnia!

Not Narnia, just a drunken stupor. Which did involve some of those men with the goat bodies, but that's for the XXX thread. Har har har.

It was tough but Bunker Bed won me over. I connected with the style, and I liked that it felt like it was the tip of a bigger story iceberg.

Chester,

When is the next Flash challenge? I would like to know the rules and how we go about submitting the work. Just so I can get my feet under me in here.

@ Joseph

Go to the Flash Me! thread. Flash away! 500 words or less, and Chester likes to group them by month.

Easy peasy bro.

Whoa shit got all crazy. I wonder if it has anything to do with Martin's Twitter and Facebook posts to come in here and vote for his story. Ka-booom.

I have a feeling this is a long way from over. Still five days left.

@Jose: Yes, just as Martin said and I look forward to your subs man.

Mikeylikesit was a clear winner for me, though I've seen better stuff from most involved. Martin's cat story would have stolen it.

Haha - Dakota posted to Facebook, not me. Not like I'm complaining or anything. It was my internet beer for posting his story!!

Though in all seriousness, Chester, if you were actually just wanting to keep this all very in-house then you could set these threads as private, so that only forum members can vote. I don't want to start a FB friends pissing contest or anything like that. I'm nowhere near popular enough for a start heh. I want the people that vote to actually read the pieces!

More people voting would be cool though. Come on people, vote!!!! Vote for the other guys though, not me. (Kidding - vote for me!)

Yeah, I want people to read them. That is the point. But I can't privatize the vote. We might lose the viral faction.
