Fielding Goodney. He is the most vibrant, jump off the page character I've ever had the pleasure of reading. That one character shows why Martin Amis is one the best writers of all time.
Dorian Grey

I've not yet read the last two in the series and I love Oy...
(I remember when critics were appalled by King writing from the dog's P.O.V. during sections of Cujo)

Boone - those passages from the dog's POV terrified me when I was in 5th grade. I had a mean dog and I used to worry she would hide in my closet.
Jimothy Scott

I really like the marquis de carabas in Neil gaimans neverwhere.
"That carabas fellow he's a little bit dodgey isn't he?"
"In the same way as a rat is a little bit covered in fur, yes I suppose so."

Oy is truly a Shakespearean character, his thoughts are complex yet simple. You never question his loyalty but his motivations are ambiguous at best. Sometimes I wonder of the lineage of the billy bumblers. Are they racoons, are they dogs, are they foxes? Do they like sweets? Can they carve figurines with their claws? Do they poop normal colors?

I love Oy as well. I question the character of anyone who has read those books and does not wish for a billybumbler.
