Hello my fellow LitReactors,

lately I have been feeling an urge to write erotica. Or pornoliterature. Just for the sake of it. Aaand, of course, it sounds like fun. Who doesn't like a good dirty story?

Since I am a guy, I always prefered more graphical way of porn to get excited. Now I am doing research for porn in the form of writing.

So I dare to ask - are there any outstanding erotica books/authors I could read to get inspired?

Henry Miller is my favorite. Anne Rice is one that most people say you "have" to read to know erotica, but I'm not a big fan. Vladimir Nabokov isn't purely erotica, but his sex scenes are beautiful.

Butch Fatale, by Chrisa Faust has some pretty good sex.  It's stark and honest.

Head over to 'Literotica.com' and get a good look at what you're up against. It might give you some good ideas, but it will also let you see some excellent examples of what not to do. Like anything, take it with a grain of salt, a slice of lemon, and a shot of tequila. Now do that in reverse order. Repeats as necessary, and you will probably wind up liking anything.
