Hey all -
Just joined the site, and happy to be here! I'm now learning the language and the ways of this brave new world.
I've finished the first draft of my sci-fi-ish novel. As I dive into revision and rewrites, with a hacksaw and a penlight, I'm hoping to find here what I sorely lack in my community - like-minded, astute creators with a desire to share and help each other out.
Reading the great "getting started" posts, but any advice or experiences you have to share are more than welcome. I look forward to working with all of you!
Amy
Hello and welcome.
Welcome to the LitReactor! What advice or experience in particular are you looking for? Anything I don't know off the top of my head I will be more than happy to make up and try to fool you convincingly.
Welcome to LitReactor :)
Amy,
Sorry for my late reply, I spent the last 3 months legally dead for tax purposes. The way I found my community/beta readers is to find people on site like LitReactor, ones that share a common reading list/ethos/sense of humor, and start an email list. Some will shake out as they go, but the people you really connect with will stay.
Maybe don't try to get it all at one spot. You might get a lot out of the articles, the forums, or the workshop, meet people who are very helpful, find beta readers, or whatever. Each of those is great. But don't expect any one place to be ALL of those.
Welcome to the pit.

Hi there. I just signed on and as you can tell, I am in definate need of this community. As I mentioned before, if you want to be a single digit handicap golfer, you have to play with single digit handicappers-Fore!
Well said.
