Brandon Sanderson teaches a college course on writing and publishing sci-fi and fantasy novels. He’s been posting videos of his class lectures on YouTube, and I highly recommend them. He is an engaging and very informative speaker. In addition to technique, he also spends entire lectures focused on the publishing end of the equation (including self-publishing)—which is something my MFA classes have been sorely missing.
It’s like getting a master level class for free. Sure, you don’t get to be in his writing workshop, but that’s what LitReactor is for! Obviously, the focus is on genre writing (another thing my MFA comes up short on), but there's some good stuff in the lectures for everyone. Here’s the link to his vids:

If you’re not familiar with Brandon Sanderson, he wrote the Mistborn series, “The Way of Kings”, and was the author chosen by Robert Jordan to complete the Wheel of Time series. The guy knows his stuff and does it successfully.
Brandon Sanderson! Have you also listened to his podcast, Writing Excuses? That's where I first heard of him, as well as the rest of the Writing Excuses crew.
Thanks for sharing the youtube link! Here is the Writing Excuses link.
I read and enjoyed his Alcatraz Versus the... series during the year when I didn't read any adult fiction.
These are really great for me. It provides a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for sharing this ruby.
