Not that I'm aware of. But I know Renee lost a reservation at her hotel because it got hit by a tornado. So...that could be it. I'm not 100% though.

I just made my reservation. It's about thirty minutes away from Ciceros, but only cost me about 70 dollars. Hopefully there will be a bed in the room.

Good deal! I get in an absolutely tizzy about reservations. One of my greatest fears is a resturant or hotel losing my reservation/name.
That and birds.

This drives me crazy, too. I think they just use the res system to get a house count, and then when you show up, you get whatever they have left. Often I'm forced to have a roommate on these trips, deliberately and specifically book a double, then I get there and all they have is a single bed. "That was my only request, and you can't even do that?" Also, I believe there's some kind of law that if you're booked in a room and decide you want to extend your stay, you're entitled to keep that room, and maybe that messes up other reservations. Who knows; I'm just glad I don't work in the hospitality business.

I think the Moonrise was booked up, or close as of a couple weeks ago, but when getting a new reservation for my last night there, it seemed there were a fair number of hotels open near the airport (aside from the one hit by a tornado). I'm only staying in that area Sunday though, got my Moonrise room booked early...

I just want to say I am super excited for the books and booze weekend. So many good authors all in one place for a reading is pretty impressive. I have seen two of the six previously, and they are well worth the trip themselves. Add in four more greats and this weekend is gonna be a blast.
also, kudos to Nathan for coming. Not many LitReactors are going to show their faces, from what I hear, so it is cool to see a couple who are. A little birdie named Jonathan Riley told me that Jonathan Riley will be making it as well, in case that sways any of you fence-sitters. It made me happy...

Gordon Highland
from Kansas City is reading Secondhand Souls by Christopher MooreJune 20, 2013 - 10:20am
I will be in my car cursing the satellite radio for only working part-time (it's not a cutting-out thing; each time I start the car it either works or doesn't, usually not) and wishing I'd burned some recent CDs to replace the ones that've been in the carousel forever. As I near arrival, I'll be thankful this is on the outskirts of town and that I'm driving the opposite direction as rush-hour traffic. Then I will hug a bitch and have a beer or seven (okay, fine: eight). I will sleep amazingly or not at all, either of which is welcome, and then embrace whatever Saturday brings.

This is straight from my Facebook, but it says all I want to say and it is already typed. This was a great event.
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us in our first ever event this weekend. It was a great time. I met some wonderful people, reconnected with equally wonderful people, bought books, got said books signed, and made it home alive. All I could have hoped for, plus I feel confident I didn’t embarrass myself too badly, and hey, I KNOW I wasn’t “the drunk person”, because those people were very clearly identified. I hope we can continue to grow, support great writers, and do this whole thing again sometime. Thank you authors, who agreed to do this and put faith in us when all we offered you was a room to read out loud in. Thank you to the guests who drove from all over just to be awesome and enjoy a night of literature. Thanks to everyone who shared the event, liked the event, liked US, and generally gave us a helping hand over the past year. I’m incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and friendship I’ve received.
Also here's a couple other pictures at the event:
