@Tom, I think Sean originally said seven but then Avery said by midnight is fine with her because she won't  post them untill Monday morning.

@TomMartinArt & Bekanator: e-mail your story anytime before sunrise basically. It was originally a deadline of 7 central time because that was exactly 7 days later, but Averydoll couldn't post them before tomorrow morning anyway. Actually, she has been sick all day and in bed, so even if we all got them to her by noon, she wouldn't have gotten them posted yet.

Jessica said we could extend it to midnight because she's not gonna post the poll until Monday morning. Although we never did officially extend it, so let's just say "tonight".

Will this be a public battle? (Just wondering. Some t-domes in the past were public. I guess I'll find out soon enough. No need for me to actually post this, but I typed it all so I will click the button.)

I'm not sure. I'd prefer if it was private because I'd like to send my story out after the battle is done.

Craaaaap. Not a bad title, though a bit esoteric.

What's a private battle? If no one can see it and vote, what's the fun of that??

It'll be just like the WAR battles. Only paid members will see it and the topic won't be seen in Google searches.

Dude. Things suck when you don't give LR your well-earned pennies.

Mayhaps Jessica can switch the poll to public...because it is up now.

It's the least I could do.

Also, I feel like playing this week.  I'd be willing to do a non-workshopping thunderdome with someone.  1 week, no workshop.  Anyone in?

(please don't anyone post a prompt until someone takes up the challenge)

I might could be down with that.  Plus, a week would give us each the chance to get over our various maladies.  Or give me time to contract something new so I'll have an excuse when you kick my ass.

AVERYDOLL, I CHALLENGE THEE (consider this post-dated to next Monday, so no prompts yet, please, o do-gooders)!!!!!!!!!

Ok, since I'm having my usual bout of complete lack of motivation due to fear of success/failure/horses, I could really use a swift kick in my gloriously formed/highly muscled and just hairy enough ass. Anyone willing to challenge me?

And, please, I like the old fashioned style of thunderdome, but if you absolutely must have the new-fangled easier and less challenging challenge, so be it.

I am liking the idea of a battle of the black and whites!

I officially accept, and hope that you've ferreted away several pints of your own blood or appropriately compatable blood types and spare organs, because I plan to gooify you like a Bassomatic - either that, or die a gloriously melodramatic death by your hand. Either, or.

So... promptly present the prompt, please, oh wise and noble prompt presenters.

EDIT: forgot to mention that I prefer the standard method of one week to post in workshop, then one week for finals. I like getting input on my craptacularity.

And thank you, Moon. I was really needing something outside myself to force me to write. You sir, are an officer and a gentleman. It will be a sad thing, gutting you like a fish with my literary vomit skills

I'm not going to talk shit. Ill let my story do that for me.

Strange Photon's picture

In all honesty, I just do it for laughs. I have little doubt that you'll destroy me on this, but at least I'll be writing again, and the shit talking is just a fun thing I like to do on the side.

Also, I would like to know the rules on whether we're allowed to talk shit to the prompt presenter. I mean, damn, dude!

Strange: First draft up by midnight next Wednesday? Sound good?

Strange Photon's picture
Strange Photon from Fort Wayne, IN is reading Laurie Anderson lyrics March 28, 2013 - 5:28am

Sounds fine by me, Moon Pie. Now, is there a word count limit here, I forget how the specifics go. I tend to be a bit verbose, so if we can find a limit that isn't too... limiting, that'd be great.

R.Moon's picture

The original word count was 2500, but some people have gone up to 3k. Whatever count you want is cool.

Strange Photon's picture
Strange Photon from Fort Wayne, IN is reading Laurie Anderson lyrics March 28, 2013 - 6:03am

Hmmm... Seeing as I don't even have a solid idea yet (but half a dozen vague concepts to choose from) I can't really decide what would be a viable word count... let's make a range, maybe - something like at least 2.5k and no more than 4k for the sake of those reading?
