I like richard's prompt..

thanks, sound. i didn't set a word length, but how about 1,500-3,500. is that enough room to wiggle around? flash is 1,000 max, and 4,000 starts to feel a bit wordy, imo.

Ha, RICHARD! We're not starting until Thursday! Now I am going to have to try not to think about that at all until I finish this current project!

I'd be up for a three way if you two don't mind..

Ask Mckay! Although that leaves me feeling pressured---a rematch and a new opponent at THE SAME TIME?!

It'd make you pretty badass if you won, though..

I'll message him if he doens't confirm by tomorrow night. I'll bide my time thinking of an idea until Thursday in the mean time.

I did offer to beat you and Avery with one hand tied behind my back, it would be disingenuous not to accept! To arms!

After Thursday. Natch.

@Courtney: I don't know how I did it with that prompt, but I managed to put something wicked together. Hope yours is coming along nicely.

@McKay & Sparrow: I have an even awesomer idea for our battle, but the main issue I'll have is time. Not sure I'll get to knock it out in the time we have left (I think it's Thurs, right?). Anyway, good luck to you two!

Yup, Thursday. I'm still trying to decide between two different, totally awesome ideas, so TIME. Yes. Ug.

I've been super busy, but I'm trying to knock it out now. It isn't due until Tuesday, right?

Also, I like that prompt, too -- but I think I'd rather stick with mine.

Cool. I've been so fucking behind in school that the story took a backseat, but I'm really happy with the barebones I have right now. I should have it done tomorrow, hopefully.

Thank you so much for making my rivalry dreams almost come true.

Waiting eagerly for a response...

If he accepts my challenge will I need 30 points total to post my story at the end of each week. I only have 28 as of now but I've been working on earning more.

Are you asking for verification?  Because that is generally how it is done in classic thunderdome.  Although exceptions have/can be made depending on your mutual agreement.

Your welcome Avery. I bet he will accept. Yeah. I'm just not that sure how it works. I just became a workshop member and i was wondering what all the thunderdome submissions were so i found this thread and thumbed through it a bit. l am very intrigued with the idea. I should have enough points by the end of the challenge so i am fine posting it twice.

@sean of the dead- Only my rival can call me J.R. so yes, you can. So I guess we have a week. It's my first time too, so be gentle. Is a 12:00a.m central standard time deadline next (monday night)tuesday morning good for you.

@ Stacy-Thanks Stacy, I'll need all the luck I can get.  I read the prompt an hour ago and thought about it while i showered and cooked. I'm sitting here now, infront of the screen, and I've got nothing.

Sound, I managed to not save my story... right before my computer crashed. I'm a complete dumbass and have to completely forfeit. There's no way I'd have it done by the end of this week, let alone tonight.

I would, but it would literally be this time next week before I'd even get to start the goddamn thing. I wrote it while stoned off my ass, so I only have a vague memory of it. I'm fucking stupid.

Been away for awhile and haven't written anything in about a month. I need a kick in the ass to get back in gear. So, what better way than a battle. I challenge someone, anyone.

Courtney's picture

Rian -- Can we do a one-week only, like the one I did with J.Y.? This week just became open, but next week is full. So if you want to do a one-draft only, one-week deadline, I challenge thee.

(I was going to offer this to Sound, but I got in late for his offer to Wildman... so there's a clusterfuck on my end. If Wildman accepts Sound's offer, I'll battle Rian; if not, I'll climb back in to my battle with Sound. Does that work?)
