Matt, you're entirely within your rights to do that, and your story may show in final form this weekend as the bomb. But bear in mind that the entire contest will still run two weeks, with a poll at the end that runs an additional week. If you just have that be your final and make no revision beyond, you are giving up quite a bit of edge.

To all who shall see this message, greetings,
I have had the fortunate opportunity of battling Averydoll in the Thunderdome. While it was a very good experience for me I did lose this battle. I know, I know, I was shocked too. Just kidding. Averydoll is a wonderful writer who laid me to waste. Her idea was well thought out and was executed to perfection. She is a LitR icon and it is well deserved. While she may have some rough edges she is a remarkable human who is capable of so much. I will continue to follow her career in writing with enthusiasm. No matter what tasking she decides to endeavor, she will no doubt succeed as she succeeded in destroying me in this writer's battle.
To Avery:
Thank you for the experience and I look forward to battling you again....in the very far far far future.

She sent me a dear John letter while I was in Iraq and I never saw her again. The only time we have had communication is through email in the past 3 years. When I got back from my 7 month deployment she was 5 months pregnant. She filed for divorce and then stopped it, then promptly cleaned out my bank account. Right when I was going to file myself, I received news that she had cancer.
