both of those story prompts are awesome. the 100 children, wow, that's challenging but fascinating. i keep thinking about THE VILLAGE. the gay robots, i'm instantly thinking about Heinlein's FRIDAY for some reason.

Richard - THE VILLAGE was the first thing I thought of as well.  So I had to instantly scratch the devil children idea...

@Richard. I thought Children of the Corn, I think The Village works too...weird movie. Right now I am boning up on my Romulus and Remus. I am just glad it wasn't an existential nightmare populated by gay robots.

The gay robots wouldn't have to commit suicide, they could create artificial wombs rendering the female populace worthless and then build a utopian gay society without gender lines. The end.

Yeah, me and Panda have been private messaging each night and churning out the hard creamy details of our stories. Right now he is on top but soon that may change if I am able to pull out from underneath him and work some details out. He just has to finish unloading...his story onto my...brain.

I always think better in the shower.  By which I mean I have about 20 minutes of good thinking a day.  The rest..meh.

On the plus side, I think I confused myself with my plotline.  And I mean that as a plus for Matt.

@lk - if you can take me down, no problem. but i guess that ups the ante if i win then, yeah? i only have copies of the signed/limited hardcover in stock at home. that's a $40 value (complete with audio cd). in what universe, i don't know. if i win i'd like the Hunger Games trilogy. been meaning to get it. paperback or hardcover, i'll leave it up to you.

Well that's just...fine, look, I'll even sign one of my books and send it to you in exchange.  Probably an old Stephen King one, maybe Rose Madder, which would be awesome for you because it would be vintage and it would be signed by me.  That should sweeten this deal plenty for you.

Haha, I'd be happy with just a signed paperback. I'm not really swimming in money at the moment per se, but maybe if it's close and you don't just blow me out of the water straight from the gate we can debate it, or go again at a sort of double or nothing stake in the future...

The next prompt is...

Write a story without anyone dying.

Also I think I know what Matt is writing about.

Super Mario has to save Princess Peach from Bowser. But has to sacrifice himself in the process to finally take down Bowser for good.

@Alien:  Thanks.  At the moment I think the date's fine.  Gives us time to get everything structured, 19 more contestants trickle in, plan the running of the torch and the dove release.

You might just need to smack some bitches and get their asses in gear.
