It took 15 or so for Nick to challenge me to our matchup.  Give it some time.

You just have to say, "I challenge thee" because those are the thread rules.  And I'm pretty sure I predicted this in my head.

Rules are posted at the beginning of the thread (so no 8-hour power-challenge misunderstandings).

Prompt:  100 children emerge from the woods.  No one (at first? ever? you decide) knows who they are or where they came from.  2500 words.

Utah picked ours.

Argentina, cowed by the Falklands thing, was referring to Iron Maggie's "I don't like that one... next" post in order to curry favor with the tyrant.

Sure she did. But there is no veto. The rules say Utah picks the prompt. He picked the prompt. So it doesn't matter.

@Diaz:  That is fuckin funny.

Post is picked and shall be dealt with.

Seemed like a better one to me than, "Two gay robots attempt to colonize a new planet.  Are frustrated because of their inability to procreate.  Depression and suicide ensue."

It's a good prompt.

It's hard.  But I'll manage.

I just hope Matt can come up with something original.

I don't know if that sounds like a prompt though. It sounds like a synopsis of a aliensoul story.

In the aliensoul story they wouldn't find their plight depressing.  They'd probably build a vacuum cleaner at some point so they could get a little strange.

Yeah, I wonder about Matt.  After his Renfield battle story took like 45 minutes to write I've become convinced he's just a bot with 5 million obscure stories in his hard drive that he can immediately access, modify to fit, and turn in.

You're not real, are you?

Matt Attack's picture

Do I need to fill out a captcha? And I don't know how you would know since I got two stories up that havn't been reviewed. Actually I am stopping here, I think I may go another route.

Also- its not that I write fast, I just get a skelton down, then build on that.
