I'd love to vote, but every time I try to download the files, I keep getting some weird shit pop up asking me to select "ASCII Filter Options." Now, I don't know shit about that so I can't read either one. I tried figuring it out but whatever I selected just ended up giving me pages of symbols and gibberish. I've tried for days - so...
This was DEFINITELY the closest battle - story-wise - of any of the four that have happened this last week. The numbers are stupid, because the actual HIGH level of literary quality present in these pieces was WAY closer than the count indicates. I had the hardest time deciding, so great job making me hem and haw for a LONG time.
Congrats Sarah,
I agree with SP. This was the hardest battle for me to choose and, probably my favorite two stories of the seven that I didn't write, in that week's battle.
I voted for Sarah's in this one and it's basically because it was just so fun. I could easily see watching it as a short and eating popcorn.
Sounds story was very poignant, and could possible have a longer lasting effect, it's hauntingly beautiful and absract. A little more litterary than pure genre, which I tend to enjoy very much. I wish I could had voted for both, but I couldn't so I went with the Fraudulent Monster Hunter.
