Another tough decision, and two enjoyable reads. There wasn't much in this at all.

Adam, I wonder if it's a British phrase that America's bastardized English doesn't use or something, and if so, that's why I'm confused by your second sentence. What do you mean when you say, "There isn't much in this at all."?

How long does voting remain open? I have to think about this one. Good work to both competitors. It's always neat to see two different stories grow from the same seed.

Photon-
We haven't "bastardized" English, it's just different.
But I too was wondering what that statement meant.

I figured as much from the context, just never heard it before and noticed Adam used this phrase before, so I had to ask.

Yes, as Em said, very close and tough to choose. Interesting these little phrases that don't make it across the pond!

Honestly, I figured it was something like that, but to an American eye, it reads slightly as saying there isn't much of value or of note in this. Now, I knew you wouldn't say something like that, so I was curious to know just what it actually did mean. Thanks!
And yeah, the little colloquialisms that differ between the two versions of the language are always good for a laugh. :)
