I have so many stories I want to review and so little time to do it.  Stupid life.  Maybe if I don't end up just taking an afternoon nap or something I'll do some Friday afternoon.

Good battle. So is this like a 'warm-up' match for WAR2, like the friendlies that sports teams have before the season starts?

A God was fun, I enjoyed the playfulness. Trickster was more developed though, and it think it made better use of the prompt and word limit.

One suggestion Utah - change the title. I think calling it that gives away too much too soon.

And it's lame.  Let's not forget that.  That is one lame title.

Emma & Dave, thanks for taking the time to read and for vote.

@Emma, I look forward to your review. I'll most likely have a review for your "Sleeping Sickness" up later today.

@Dave, totally agree with your comments. Utah's was definitely more polished. Mine was definitely a rough. Glad you enjoyed, regardless.

You know, I kinda take responsibility for the roughness of your draft, Sound.  Wasn't it like the day before deadline that I asked if you were willing to forego the workshop period and just post cold?  If you went the whole week expecting to have another week to polish the story and then did me a favor and did without that, you might be taking it in the shorts for no other reason than your own generosity.

We can call it a mulligan if you want.  We even have time to do it again before WAR if you feel the need (although I'd rather not; got a couple projects to wrap up between now and Nov 2).

Sound's picture

No, it's really not necessary. Regardless of that, we both still had the same amount of time. It's cool. I own my defeat. That is, unless I'm not lazy over the weekend and create the twenty Litreactor profiles to vote for my story, like I had planned.

We'll settle this in WAR.

I'm not sure, we've just been encouraging each other to fight with other people.  You'll recall, your first thunderdome happened because I made you a promotional fight poster.

avery of the dead's picture

I'd completely decline this time, because I just don't have time with War and other life things looming, and I never turn down a fight, so you know it's serious.

Then we have to plan to do that after WAR is over.  Unless we somehow meet in the final round.  Which could happen.  In reality, we only have to beat 6 people to get there.

avery of the dead's picture

Okay - after War, if we don't meet there, we'll have a weird defender fight.

avery of the dead's picture

I'd rather the prompt be something about a guy saying that calling someone a girl is taking a shot at them.  But you know, time will tell.
