Hello, I'm kinda new here and this is the first thing I've posted on this website. There's your intro or whatever.
So I'm writing a book, my goal is 100K words for the finished project, I'm a bit over 48K words and my routine for the past few weeks has been to sit down and no matter what, pump out at least 1000 words a day and then some more if I feel like it. Is this a good writing routine for my first novel? Technically it's my second but the first was fanfiction crap (that was actually pirated and sold on Amazon, at least until oh who cares about that?).
Update: I've decided today to begin writing the novella I've had in my head for a while. I'm not going to make it a daily goal to write a certain amount of it, but whatever left over energy I have after meeting my word count goal for the novel, I'm going to transfer to the novella.
Welcome.
Enjoy this picture.

Welcome! What was the title of your fanfiction?
The project I'm working on now started as a fanfic 12 years ago and I've been struggling to create it's own universe (all of it is finally coming together!!) I am experiencing a slow down after the 60,000 word mark. . Keep at it, finishing is the hardest part. Luckily, it would seem in this community of writers, that we are in the same boat with a bunch of others. So, I leave you with these words of encouragement:
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."- Dory the fish (Finding Nemo)
Hey, James. That sounds crazy. Was it one of the other authors who posted it or just some guy you let read it or what? (I guess that's something you may not want to tell, but I'm curious enough to ask.)
Welcome!
That bear is everywhere.
Ah, I didn't realize it was already online. Still, that's fubar.
